GRAD CAP, GOWN, CAP & STOLE

REQUIRED GRAD CEREMONY ATTIRE

• Green Cap (Purchased from Jostens or borrowed from the school)
• Green Gown (Purchased from Jostens or borrowed from the school)
• White Stole (with PALY logo-Purchased from Jostens or borrowed from the school)
  • Purchased stoles will be white with PALY logo and graduation year.

TASSELS

• PAHS does not loan or give away tassels, but they can be purchased, along with caps and gowns from Jostens 

THERE ARE 2 WAYS TO PLACE YOUR ORDER

1. Order Online at https://www.jostens.com/apps/store/customer/1006008/Palo-Alto-High-School/ this is the easiest and most convenient way to place your order.  Online ordering is open 24/7. Order now to get the school’s custom graduation announcement.

      3. Purchase your Cap, Gown Tassel & Stole Package here.
2. Mail your printed grad order summary from online to us - mail in along with payment in full or an $80 deposit required when placing your order by mail.  Cashier, personal checks, Money Orders (made payable to Jostens).  Mail-in grad orders must be received on or before the deadline to receive the group discount.  The Jostens mailing address is P. O. Box 2352, Benicia, CA 94510.  Jostens Payment plans are available at the link above.

CAP, GOWN & STOLE LOANED/BORROWED

• Information for FREE loaned/borrowed cap, gown and stole:
  • Any student wishing to borrow a free loaned/borrowed cap (loaned/borrowed caps are not to be decorated), gown and/or stole needs to fill out THIS GOOGLE FORM
  • Loaned/borrowed stoles will only include paly logo (Not graduation year)
  • All loaned/borrowed caps, gowns & stoles need to be returned at the end of the graduation ceremony.
  • Pick up of loaned/borrowed cap, gown & stoles will be in Room 502 starting in Mid-May. Date TBD

SENIOR WEEK EVENT OVERVIEW

• Senior Picnic at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (5/31/23 - 10:00am - 5:30pm)
• Grad Night Party (6/1/23 8:00pm - 2:30am)

REGISTRATION (Must be completed by parent/guardian):

If your student is going to both events, students should decide on a bus number prior to registration. After clicking the "Get Tickets" button, select the "Buy on Map" button to select the bus number. If your student is attending just one event - the picnic or grad night ONLY, you will be assigned to bus 9 by default.

GRAD REHEARSAL/CEREMONY

GRADUATION   REHEARSAL                        Wednesday, May 31 

• The day will start with a continental breakfast provided by PTSA at 7:45 a.m. followed by a mandatory graduation rehearsal starting at 8:15 a.m. ending around 10:00 a.m. Graduation tickets will be distributed after rehearsal.

GRADUATION CEREMONY
Thursday, June 1

• Graduation will be held on campus in the Football Stadium.
• Seniors line up in caps & gowns at 5:00pm (mandatory--any senior unable to purchase a cap and gown can receive a loaner cap and gown free of charge—see Mr. Gallagher for details).
• The diploma ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m.
• Each senior receives 10 tickets for guests—Tickets are distributed at the Graduation Rehearsal.
• Seating opens at 4:00pm and saving seats is not allowed. 
• Immediately following the ceremony, hosted by the Junior Class, is a reception. Ample refreshments are provided for the graduates and their guests.
• This is a great time to celebrate and take pictures with the Grad before they line up at 8:00 p.m. for a night of fun with their fellow 2023 classmates at the PTSA-sponsored Grad Night Party. Seniors – don’t forget to pick up your diploma!  No bags will be allowed.
